SprintCam Live V2.1: the Fully Integrated Ultra Slow Motion System in SD Native Resolution

SprintCam Live V2.1 (Photron® powered) – the full broadcast integration solution for ultra slow-motion provided by I-Movix in SD native resolution – allows the user to capture from 500 to 10,000 frames per second and to replay them instantly, which corresponds to a replay speed 20 to 400 times slower than usual speed! Slow enough to make even the invisible motions of the talented sportsmen and sportswomen come to light!

In developing this new version of the SprintCam Live system, I-Movix has taken into account the users’ needs and feedbacks. Compared to the SprintCam Live V2, the SprintCam Live V2.1 system offers the following new features:

- a better image quality thanks to new algorithms,
- enhanced remote functions enabling fine-tuned settings,
- a slow-motion remote with a new cueing system, for a quick and easy selection of the sequence to replay,
- unmatched light sensitivity.

The SprintCam Live V2.1 provides the slowest slow-motion of the I-Movix products in SD native resolution.

SprintCam Live V2.1: a solution, a full system !

A full system made up of 4 parts as it was the case for the SprintCam Live V2 system:

(1) a high-speed camera, 
(2) a new operational control panel, that allows you to do all traditional color settings, and to choose the frame rate that best corresponds to your needs, 
(3) a new slow motion remote, that allows you to select a video sequence and instantly replay it with an SDI or HD-SDI output, thanks to a new cueing system. The sequence can then be live broadcasted or stored on any SDI recorder for a later use, 
(4) a new camera control unit, the heart of the system, enabling the slow-motion instant replay; this device controls the camera, receives the data from the camera and sends them to the EVS server, or to any SDI recorder.

The system is fully compatible with the EVS slow motion servers, and does only require one channel on the EVS server, which is important because of the limited space available in Outside Broadcast vans.

The camera control unit and the camera are interfaced with a SMPTE standard fiber optic cable with LEMO connectors, with a max distance of 1,000m between both components (FISCHER or TAJIMI options are available).

SprintCam Live V2.1 can be used alone (the sequence of images that has been captured can be directly live broadcasted), with an EVS LSM server (the sequence that has been captured is then stored on a EVS® LSM® server for a later use), or with any SDI recorder.
